Egarterhof "Egorta" farm in Sexten

farm and family

A traditional Sextner Urhof and a very special place for guests and family

The Egarterhof is a traditional Sexten farm and has belonged to the Tschurtschenthaler family since 1901. Originally, around 1600, it was a freehold property belonging to the St. Catherine Church and the Dominican monastery in Innichen. Over the years, the farm changed hands several times until it was finally taken over by Manfred's great-great-grandfather.

The farm is located at an altitude of about 1500 meters on the Ausserberg in Sexten, surrounded by several hectares of fields and forests. Dairy cows, young cattle and calves live in the feed house, which was newly built in 2010, while chickens, cats and rabbits also have their place on the farm. We have been offering rooms for holiday guests at the Egarterhof since the 1970s. In 2025, the rooms were replaced by high-quality holiday apartments that offer modern comfort while still preserving the traditional charm of the farm.

“Egorta” is the colloquial name for our farm, which is a very special place for us and many others – a retreat that combines nature, tradition and family hospitality.
